In a lively and spirited event, Labone S.D.A. Church School embraced the essence of sportsmanship and camaraderie during the Inter-House Soccer Gala held at Labone Senior High School on the 17th of March, 2023. The purpose was twofold: to unite students through the love of soccer and unveil the hidden talents that lay within.
The school, epitomizing unity and teamwork, is divided into four esteemed houses – J. N. Andrews, E. G. White, Joseph Bate, and William Miller. These houses bring together boys and girls from Nursery to Basic 9, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
The soccer gala saw enthusiastic participation from the students, further emphasizing the importance of sports in promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. The houses were divided into two teams – the junior team consisting of Basic 3 to B5, and the senior team comprising Basic 6 to B8 for both girls and boys.
The matches were exhilarating, with Ellen G. White facing off against Joseph Bate, and J. N. Andrews clashing with William Miller. The competitive spirit was palpable as these young talents displayed their soccer skills on the field.
Winners of the Matches
– Ellen G. White and J. N. Andrews secured their spots in the finals for the junior boys’ team.
– Ellen White and William Miller emerged victorious for the senior girls’ team.
– E. G. White and J. N. Andrews claimed victory for the senior boys’ team.
As the anticipation for the finals builds, the school eagerly awaits the selected date when these talented teams will compete for the championship.
